Pelo frio cortante nos dia,
Pela dor dilacerante.

Teu consolo,
A constante Poesia
Ela me invade o peito.

There is something very tender about this. I especially liked how gratitude here is not reserved only for the beautiful or easy things, but also seems to include rain, cold, darkness and pain. Sometimes poetry gives us a way to hold all of those things together when ordinary words are not enough. I think that is one of the quiet gifts of poetry, it lets us feel before we even fully understand.

O contraste entre a dor, a escuridão e as imagens simples de flores, céu e montanhas torna o sentimento de gratidão muito mais profundo e sincero.
